14th Denizli Municipality International Folk Dance Festival will take place between the 23th June
and 29th June 2014 in Denizli, Türkiye.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF FESTIVAL COMMITTEE

1- Organize the festival fit its purpose.
2- ACCOMMODATION OF GROUPS
Dormitory
3- FOOD
Three meals a day
4- TRANSPORTATION DURING FESTIVAL
a) Local transportation will be provided for performance, visits and activities by the festival
committee. ( The groups which arrived with their own buses will have the responsibility
of transportation by themselves. )
b) 250 litres of diesel oil will be given to the groups which arrived by their own buses by the
committee.
5- Pocket money will not be paid to the groups by Festival Committee.
6- A guide who speaks English will be provided for each group by Festival Committee.


RESPONSIBILITIES OF GROUPS


1- THE NUMBER OF MEMBERS OF THE GROUP: Maximum 35 people. The festival
committee is not obliged to accommodate and provide meals for extra people.
2- THE AGES OF THE DANCERS: has to be from 16 YEARS OLD.
3- MUSIC : LIVE MUSIC
3- THE NUMBER OF THE MEMBERS EXCLUDING THE DANCERS: Maximum 10
people.(Administrators, teachers, musicians and others)
4- The groups will pay cost of the transport to Izmir, Antalya, Istanbul or Denizli Airport.
5- The Groups are responsible for making arrangements for medical insurance.
6- Extra expenses apart from what is provided by the organizing committee. (Beverage,
laundry, room services, long distance calls and other personal matters.)
7- The groups are requested to arrive in Denizli on 23 June 2014 and depart on 29 June 2014
8- The groups who will arrive by bus must be in the dormitory on 23th June 2014 at 08.00-15.00.
9- Each group should bring flags of their countries with them.
10- Visa: Participants are kindly requested to contact with Turkish Embassy or consulate.
11- The groups should provide their own interpreter who speaks English, especially if any
member of the group does not speak Turkish.
12- The groups are obliged to observe the programme which organized by the festival
committee.
13- The advance programme should only be changed by the festival committee in special
circumstances, ex if another group does not appear at the festival, or if the weather
requires a change in plans. The groups should be flexible in these circumstances.
14- All the groups are requested to bring 1 man and 1 woman traditional costumes for the
museum of Costume

PROGRAMME

1 - Each group should be prepared for the followings:
a) Parade through the streets (5-12 minutes) wearing national costumes.
b) 10,20,30 minutes programs for the performances of each group.

2- The shows will be held at Gymnasium, squares, open air stages and theatres with special
stage facilities and lighting equipment.
3- During the festival period historical places (Hierapolis, Laodekia, Aphrodysas) will be
visited close to Denizli.
4- The Festival Committee retains broadcasting rights and the rights to present the groups on
TV without any extra payment to them.
5- Details of the performances, photos, CD and other introductory materials must be send to
our address until 28 FEBRUARY 2014.
6- Gift exchanges will be done 3 times during the festival. We hope that the groups will not
forget to bring presents for exchange.
7- We will send certain programme after our invitation letter.

OTHER INFORMATION

1- Climate: The average temperature during June-July 25-35 °C and sunny.
2- The health services at the hospital in our city are extremely good and available.
3- Electricity is 220 volts in Turkiye.
